Refund Policy.

Overview

This Refund Policy explains how Taprolab handles refunds for course fees paid through the platform. Taprolab is operated by Taprona (Pvt) Ltd, and online card payments are processed via PayHere. By enrolling in a paid course you agree to this policy alongside our Terms of Service.

Refund eligibility

You may request a refund within 7 days of your initial course payment, provided you have consumed less than 20% of the course content (measured by lecture-video watch time). Refunds are issued to the original payment method. If your tutor cancels a course or fails to deliver promised content, you are entitled to a refund of the unconsumed portion regardless of the 7-day window.

Non-refundable cases

The following are not eligible for a refund: (1) requests made more than 7 days after the original payment, except in tutor-cancellation cases above; (2) courses where you have already consumed more than 20% of the lecture-video runtime; (3) downloadable resources that have already been downloaded; (4) requests arising from a change of mind after the 7-day window. Specialty packages and one-off coaching sessions may have their own refund terms displayed at the point of purchase.

How to request a refund

Email refunds@taprolab.lk from the email address associated with your enrolment. Include the course name, the date of payment, the PayHere transaction reference (visible on the receipt PayHere emailed you), and a brief reason. We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and confirm whether it is approved.

Processing time

Approved refunds are initiated within 3 business days of approval. Once initiated, your card issuer typically credits the refund within 7-14 business days. Refunds appear on your statement as a credit from PayHere on behalf of Taprona (Pvt) Ltd. The original card processing fees are not refundable and will be deducted from the refunded amount where applicable.

Failed payments

If a payment fails or is declined, no charge is applied to your card and no refund is needed. If you see a pending charge that did not result in an enrolment, contact us at refunds@taprolab.lk — these holds are usually released by your bank within 7 business days.

Chargebacks

Please email us before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer. We can usually resolve disputes faster than the chargeback process. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of your Taprolab account until the dispute is resolved.
